Aris Atakem
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Atakem was 1 of 2 to win a nation-wide contest in Chad for a scholarship to go to veterinary school. He graduated from the Inter-States School of Science and Veterinary Medicine in Dakar, Senegal in 2006. He moved to Colorado the same year and attended Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine from 2008 to 2010. He has worked in private practice since 2011 as an associate veterinarian, a mobile vet but also an emergency veterinarian in the Denver Metro Area and Littleton. He is a well-rounded veterinarian with a particular interest in Orthopedic and Soft Tissue surgeries, but also, Laparoscopic Surgery, Arthritis and Obesity. Dr. Atakem loves to build long-lasting relationships with people. He treats every pet he cares for as his own and is driven by the desire to contribute to human and animal well-being. Beyond the hospital walls, Dr. Atakem immerses himself in the cherished moments with his wonderful wife and three adorable children, creating a heartwarming balance between his professional dedication and cherished family time. He is also a dance instructor and Martial artist.
Jane Ahn
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Ahn earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University in 2024. She is a distinguished member of Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society and has been recognized with scholarships for her academic excellence. Dr. Ahn is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging. She is dedicated to treating each patient as if they were a member of her own family and to providing the best care to support their owners. When she is not working, she can be found at cafes drinking coffee and listening to K-pop music.
Kelly Monaghan
Board Certified Mobile Veterinary Specialist
Kelly Monaghan, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM) is a southern Louisiana native and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After graduation, she moved to Massachusetts to complete a one-year internship followed by a residency in small animal medicine at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing her residency in 2011, she spent the next few years on faculty at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Monaghan moved to Colorado with her husband, Dr. Ben Nolan in 2013 and worked in a private specialty practice in Boulder. She joined MOVES in summer of 2021.
Dr. Monaghan enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine but is particularly fascinated by renal/urinary diseases and immune-mediated diseases, as well as endoscopic and other procedures. At home, she enjoys spending time with her family, Dr. Ben Nolan and their two children.
Benjamin Nolan
Board Certified Mobile Veterinary Specialist
Ben Nolan, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (SAIM), completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After a one-year internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, he returned to Tufts for a three-year residency in small animal medicine and earned board certification in 2009. He has worked in private practice in Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Colorado. He joined MOVES in summer of 2021. Prior to pursuing veterinary medicine, Dr. Nolan received his PhD in inorganic chemistry from Colorado State University in 2001, conducting research in lithium ion battery technology. At home, Dr. Nolan enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife Dr. Kelly Monaghan, their two children, and a young, rambunctious dog named Kevin.
